Terms & Conditions for TangoFest 2009

Please read the following terms and conditions before enroling.

Registration Procedures:

  1. For Packages A, B, C, D and Milonga Packages - 75% of the total amount due must be paid upon submission of application for registration. Any balance outstanding must be settled in cash only by the first workshop day of the festival, 4 June 2009.
  2. If the total costs of workshops or activities enrolled in is less than $100, the total amount must be paid in full before enrolment can be accepted.
  3. Priority for enrolments in Advanced classes will be given to those enrolling with partners.
  4. A brief description of workshops is published on the website. It is the participant's responsibility to ensure that he/she checks the workshop they are enrolling in.

Table Reservations:
The Festival is an event that is not held for the purpose of making a profit. We rely on volunteers to make this event a success and to minimize costs. As such, the only table reservation we have is for the invited guests in the Milongas.

Amendments to bookings:

  1. No charge for the FIRST item changed. Subsequent changes will incur an administration fee of $25 per amendment.
  2. If there is a change in the teacher/s assigned to conduct a specific workshop, the participant will be allowed to substitute another workshop where vacancies exist. However, no refund will be made if the scheduled workshop is not cancelled.

REFUND POLICY:

  1. Package enrolments - If cancellation is made BEFORE 20 April 2009, the greater of $100 or 50% of the deposit made will be forfeited. If cancellation is made BETWEEN 21 April and 10 May 2008, 50% of the total cost of enrolment but not less than $100 will be forfeited. If the total cost is less than $100, no refund will be made. NO REFUNDS AFTER 30 May 2009.
  2. Other enrolments - If the total amount of the enrolment is less than $100, the full amount will be forfeited if cancellation is made at any time after enrolment has been processed.
  3. Change of teachers - Our guest teachers are well recognized and regularly invited overseas to conduct workshops. If for any reason teachers assigned to a particular workshop are unable to conduct it, NO refund will be made if the workshop is not cancelled and is handled by another overseas guest teacher.

NOTE:
We always try to balance the gender in the workshops but no guarantee is given. To avoid disapointments, we encourage the participants to register with a partner.

It is the participant's responsibility to assess the level of their dance knowledge and ability when choosing the levels of their workshops; it is not necessarily the length of time you have been dancing. If in doubt, please ask your teacher or tango friends. As in the previous years, the teachers conducting the workshops will keep the level stated in the Class Schedule.

We reserve the right to make changes to the scheduled classes for reasons beyond our control. If a particular workshop does not meet the minimum enrolment, we reserve the right to cancel and/or change that class.

We reserve the right to take pictures and videos for promotional use by Acerca Tu Pty Ltd (t/a AusInternationalTangoFest and sydneydancestudio.com.au) and for purchase by Festival participants for their personal use.
