Ezequiel and Geraldin are an outstanding couple who have brought their fine interpretation of the authentic Argentine Tango to numerous festivals, workshops and events around the world.

The talented pair have appeared in important shows in Buenos Aires, like "Michelangelo" with Julian Plaza, Raul Lavie Vanina Bilous and Roberto Herrera, and feature in various films, such as "Assassination Tango" directed by Robert Duvall and "Tango Review" by Fransisco Calo.

Geraldin Rojas and Ezequiel Paludi will be sharing their passion for Argentine Tango with you this year. Stunning performers and brilliant teachers, they will share their knowledge and technique with you in friendly and relaxed classes.

Daniel Nacucchio and Christina Sosa

Daniel and Christina

Tango champions Cristina and Daniel have taken the tango world by storm.

In 2008, they won four world titles: World Tango Championship (Tango Salon), Metropolitan Tango Championship (Tango Salon), Metropolitan Tango Championship (Milonga) and the Japan Open (Tango Salon). They are the first tango dancing couple to win all these world competitions in one year. What a record!

Cristina started dancing at the age of 9. At 18, she discovered a passion for tango. She became a dancer and choreographic assistant in the show “Piazolla Tango”. She has performed in various tango shows.

Daniel is a dancer, teacher, and choreographer of tango. At the age of 16, he started working with the notable proponents of the Villa Urquiza style of the 21st century. He has worked in numerous countries including Japan, Taiwan and the USA as the main dancer in numerous shows.

Joaquin Amenobar - World Class Bandoneon Player and Musicality Teacher

Joaquin Amenabar

Joaquin Amenabar teaches Bandoneon at the National University of Buenos Aires, the Superior Conservatory of Music of Buenos Aires and the Folk Music School of Avellaneda.

He also trains tango groups and individual tango musicians on tango interpretation and arrangements. Joaquin regularly visits several countries in Europe, the USA, Istanbul giving workshops and/or solo concerts with varied repertoire of classical, contemporary and tango music.

Being both a musician and a tango dancer, Joaquin has developed an absolute unique teaching system of tango musicality for tango dancers.

Our Hosts

Jennifer - Tango Encanto Raul - Tango Encanto

Jennifer and Raul are two of the most friendly people in the Sydney Tango community and they have agreed to host the first social night of TangoFest - the Welcome Milonga.

Jennifer and Raul of Tango Encanto hold classes and Milongas at the Copacabana Bar & Grill which has been selected as the venue for the Welcome Milonga.

Jairo and Amy

Jairo Rivera and Amy Teuchert have graciously acquiesed to host the Opening and the Grand Milonga.

Amy and Jairo are great supporters of the Aus International TangoFest and have been involved from the very beginning. They are teachers of Tangueros Sydney.
