TangoFest 2010 - Almost here!!

Dear Tango Friends,

In a few weeks, the 6th year of our own Argentine Tango Festival is about to begin. This year’s celebration is the biggest yet. We are holding TangoFest 2010 in both Mudgee and Sydney, with the Sydney portion starting on Tuesday night, March 30 with the Sydney Welcome Milonga at the Dance Alive Studio in Regent Street, Chippendale.

To add more activities to this year’s TangoFest and get more people into tango dancing, we are launching the inaugural Tango In The Vineyards in Mudgee with a Grand Opening Night Dinner & Show at the Prince Hill Wines on March 27. Get a group of friends together and book a table. Don’t miss this sensational show coming to you for the first time in Mudgee! Click here for more details.

Look at some of the  prizes awaiting the winners of the Tango Competition in Mudgee… one night's accommodation in a De Luxe Room at the Medusa Hotel in Darlinghurst, Sydney, a pair of lady’s tango shoes and a pair of man’s  tango shoes to the value of $ 150 each, a one hour private lesson from one of the guest teachers, a Milonga Pack, a Festival Workshop Package, bottles of high quality wines.  So why not join the fun in Mudgee and have a short holiday.  Accommodations in Mudgee are available to suit everyone’s budget.  And if you do not want to drive, join us in the bus we are hiring from Sydney.  Mudgee is just 3 ½ hours drive from Sydney and the friendly people are waiting for us! Click here to visit the Mudgee Tourism website to see what awaits you in Mudgee.

You would have often heard of what some people rave about tango styles and one of the most commonly talked about is the Villa Urquiza style.  You do not have to go to Buenos Aires to learn it.   The World Tango Salon Champions Daniel Nacucchio and Cristina Sosa are going to teach this in one of their workshops right here in Sydney.  Learn the very elegant steps of this style with giros and combinations.  And there are plenty of workshops to choose from for a much better understanding in executing different tango steps to be taught by our top invited guest tango teachers. Click here to see the workshops being offered at this year's TangoFest!!

Don't forget, this Saturday is the Special Workshop being held by Belen and Diego - Synergy of dancing traditional and new movements in Tango. Click here for more details.

Come visit our website for more details regarding TangoFest 2010 at www.tangofest.com.au and we'll see you soon!!

Keep on dancing!
