TangoFest 2010 - More good news

Dear Tango Friends,

Manuel Albarracin to assist at Pre-Festival Workshop

It is with great pleasure that I inform you that Manuel Albarracin, a tango teacher and dancer from Argentina, is assisting Belen in the Pre-Festival workshops and Practicas. The Pre-Festival workshops and practicas will begin next Monday, 22 February.  Manuel has been teaching in Sydney for a while now and has decided assist us in the intensive Pre-Festival Tango Course.  Manuel has taught in Japan and was a finalist in the 2006 World Stage Tango Championship.

To have Manuel assist Belen in these workshops is a big benefit for those who would really like to improve their tango dancing or strengthen their tango skills.  Both are very skilled and dedicated teachers who are in high demand as their private students keep spreading their praises for teaching.

This is the first time we have offered intensive Tango lessons before the Festival to increase your enjoyment in the higher levels of the Festival workshops you might want to participate in.  The guided Practicas held on the Saturdays in this Course are something you haven’t experienced here.  Belen and Manuel will be present to give you further understanding of what was taught during the previous workshops.  Furthermore, new ways to get in and out of these tango moves will be taught during the Practica like a group class.

On Saturday 20 March just before the beginning of the Festival, there is a Special workshop to be conducted by Belen Silva and Diego Gonzalez which is again open to everyone.  You will feel the chemistry and connection of these two highly talented dancers which adds that special effect on their performances when you see them on the dance floor.
