Don't miss out on the Dinner & Show!!

Dear Tango Friends,

TangoFest 2010 is less than 2 months away.  As I have mentioned in the previous updates, the 6th Australian International Tango Festival is starting with the launch of Tango In The Vineyards in Mudgee on 27 March 2010.  And, it continues in Sydney, from Tuesday 30 March to Easter Sunday, 4 April. The Grand Milonga will be held on Saturday 3 April 2010.

Booking for accommodation in Mudgee is essential.  There are all types of accommodation to suit everyone’s budget, however, Mudgee is a very popular holiday destination and we have been advised to book early.

Dinner and a Show at Prince Hill Wines!!

On the big Opening Night on Saturday, 27 March, there will be a Dinner & Show followed by a Milonga at Prince Hill Wines where it gets atmospheric as we are surrounded by barrels of wine.  There will be a special show presented by all our Festival teachers and performers.  This is something not to be missed!  Make sure you book and pay before the end of February, it will only cost you AUD$60.  After this date, it becomes AUD$65.

To complete the fun, we plan to hire a mini bus.  If we can get at least 25 people, it will only cost AUD$60 each and this will include the Sydney to Mudgee return trip, and winery and cheese tasting tour.  Reservations for a seat however, will be on a first come first serve basis.  So be quick to book so you can have much more fun on this tango holiday.  Details to make reservations will soon be released.

Pre-Festival Tango Course

The intensive Pre-Festival Tango Course is happening in 3 weeks time.  This will enable tango dancers to prepare themselves for the Festival and appreciate better the workshops that they are going to choose to attend.  Participants in this course will get discounts if they enrol in the Festival workshop packages.

There has been a change in the venue for the Pre-Festival Tango Course.  The location will now be at the Lifestyle Studio, Level 4, Foster Street, Surry Hills which is very close to Central Station.   Reservations for this intensive course is now open and you can go to our website for details.

If you want to improve your dancing and appreciate the Festival workshops more, enrol in this course.  The guided Practicas are something you would truly enjoy. The practicas are just like the way practicas are done in Buenos Aires.  Book now to save even further.  You only pay AUD$285 for a total of 18 hours of classes and guided practicas (making it less than AUD$16 per hour of learning) plus 3 hours free dancing!

Regularly visit the TangoFest website to see more information about TangoFest 2010.

Until the next update, enjoy your dancing!
