Dear Tango Friends,
I hope you all had a great start for this New Year. I am very happy to inform you that for our TangoFest 2010, we have an impressive line-up of guest teachers, all with tango deep in their blood. And this year, we have great plans to allow you to enjoy the benefits of taking part in our Festival workshops and enjoy your tango dancing more.
In addition to World Tango Salon Champions Daniel Nacucchio and Cristina Sosa who were very popular in last year's Festival, we also have Laila and Leandro Oliver this year. We tried to get them last year but we missed outdue to their full schedule. Luckily, we are able to get in early this year and you would agree with me after you have joined their classes and see them perform.
And to complete the line-up, we have Belen Silva and Diego Gonzalez, who were finalist in the 2006 World Stage Tango Championship. Belen was teaching in Japan for several years before recently coming to Australia. This lady is very talented and her way of teaching has impressed the tango dancers who have been coming back to her for more lessons. Belen and Diego has a chemistry and connection that gets reflected when they dance.
And our exciting news does not stop here. To prepare those who would like to benefit most from the Festival workshops, Belen Silva will be holding a term course starting from the 22nd of February to the 21st of March. She will be joined by Diego Gonzalez during the last week of the term. Watch out for the details of this course which will be a new and beneficial experience for you. You will appreciate your dancing better and get a lot more enjoyment out of it.
Although we have not released the details of the Festival workshop timetable, I just received an email from the Mudgee Department of Tourism that there is a big rugby tournament being organized for the same weekend as our Tango In The Vineyards. The rugby organizers are apparently expecting 1500 people for this event. We are advised to book accommodations now by visiting www.visitmudgeeregion.com.au. There is a good choice of accommodation to suit everyone’s budget but we have to get in as quickly as we can. The Tango In The Vineyards will be from the 27th of March to the 30th of April when we start driving back to Sydney for the continuation of TangoFest 2010.
Until the next update, enjoy your dancing!
Lilian
