Preparations for TangoFest 2010 underway!!

Dear Tango Friends,

Preparations for next year’s 6th International Tango Festival is now under way. Due to popular demand, Daniel Nacucchio and Cristina Sosa are coming back. And the line-up for international tango teachers looks terrific!!

TangoFest 2010 is going to be filled with more activities including workshops,  a tango competition to be judged by our overseas visitors, and Milongas.  Prizes galore….cash prizes, packages, vouchers, and more. All competitors will be bringing home a Mudgee gift.

TangoFest 2010 starts with Tango In The Vineyards on Saturday the 27th of March at Prince Hill Wines, Mudgee.  Located at the gateway to Mudgee, Prince Hill Wines is “Home to NSW Top 40 Wines”.   In organizing this event, I have driven to Mudgee several times and it has taken me between 3 to 3 ½ hours to get there, admiring the scenery on the way.

Mudgee is a beautiful place to relax and unwind offering gastronomical menus using regional produce.  It is a picturesque town with spectacular views and offers their visitors great coffee, a wide range of premium wines, a great variety of local produce, galleries,  boutique shopping,  and a  beautiful golf course for the golf enthusiasts.   There is something for everyone.  So for those of you with partners who don’t dance, you can take this opportunity as a little getaway!!

Meet old and new friends as the Festival promises to be more exciting and enjoyable.  Tango in The Vineyards Opening night  is expected to draw a large crowd.  Have a lovely dinner and enjoy the spectacular show and dance the night away.

This year’s TangoFest also offers both tango and non-tango dancers the opportunity to have a relaxing holiday.  There is a comprehensive choice of accommodations to suit everyone’s budget.  Please make sure you book in early as Mudgee becomes busy this time of the year.

From Mudgee, the Festival will continue in Sydney on Tuesday 30 March up to Sunday 4 April.  The Grand Milonga on Saturday, the 4th of April will be another memorable night of TangoFest 2010.

Keep your eyes on our website for more exciting news to come.  Mark your calendar and spread the news to your friends.

Happy dancing!

Lilian
